Weddings at Tyrone Farm

Our Rate is $9,500 and includes:

Ceremony 

Your ceremony will be held under our beautiful granite pergola, framed by an English formal garden, with a breathtaking scenic view. Add your personal touch and décor to this magical setting that will set the perfect mood for your romantic ceremony. Chairs will be provided for up to 135 guests, arranged according to your vision.

Cocktail Hour 

Your loved ones will enjoy mingling and taking photos on the Bluestone Terrace, with stunning grounds and gardens overlooking the Quinebaug Valley. Guests are invited to spend time on the Main House sun porch or in the spacious drawing room, featuring a Steinway piano and marble fireplace.

Receptions

Your guests will enjoy their reception meals in the historic Chestnut Barn followed by dancing and dessert.

Complimentary amenities include:

  • Ceremony chairs (for up to 135 guests)
  • Access to the Bluestone Terrace, Main House sun porch and drawing room, formal garden, and fire pits
  • Access to the Guest Cottage for day-of wedding party preparations
  • Century tent: 30 x 75 white canopy tent
  • Reception Chairs (for up to 135 guests)
  • Reception Tables (up to 15 60-inch round tables; each comfortably seats 8-9 guests)
  • Buffet or station tables, cake table, musician table
  • Lawn games 
  • Electrical power
  • Outdoor/ Indoor lighting 
  • Restrooms – 3 stalls conveniently located in the Chestnut Barn
  • Parking for your guests

Important information to know:

• We only host one wedding per weekend so you and your guests have private access to all of the farm’s amenities
• The maximum count for a wedding at Tyrone Farm is 135 guests
• Dates are reserved once a non-refundable deposit has been made and the contract has been signed
• All tours and meetings at the farm are by appointment only
• We provide an hour for your ceremony and an additional four hours for your reception including your cocktail hour. All events must end by 10pm.

Rehearsals

We recommend scheduling your rehearsal a day prior to your ceremony. Tyrone Farm will assist the officiant and wedding party, and there is no fee for this service. Rehearsals must begin at the scheduled time, are limited to one hour, and must end before dark. 

Catering

Tyrone Farm does not have on-site catering services, but we are happy to provide the following list of caterers who have previously worked at the farm. You are welcome to use other caterers outside of this list, but we require that they visit the farm before your event to understand our operating procedures. Please note that linens and dishware are to be coordinated with your caterer.

Caterers must obtain a permit from the Northeastern Connecticut District Department of Health and provide proof of liability insurance for a minimum of $1,000,000 naming Tyrone Farm Management, Inc. and William and Diane MacLaren as additionally insured for the date of the event.

Tours

We welcome potential clients to tour the farm with the understanding that they are familiar with our fees, reception hours, and maximum guest count. Tours last approximately 45 minutes, schedule your tour of our venue by contacting us here.
